The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery performs more than 800 major cardiothoracic procedures each year with over 200 of them in children. Special clinical interests of the division include treatment of congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease, ventricular tachyrhythmias, acquired valvular disease, cardiac trauma and the management of patients with end stage heart disease including cardiac and cardiopulmonary transplantation.
